Description
Vanilla Strawberry Hydrangea blooms are a creamy white with a splash of pinks and red later in the season. Huge panicles of white blooms emerge in midsummer upon strong, red stems. The flowers transition to pink as night time temperatures cool turning to a strawberry red in the late season. Butterflies and other pollinators will help themselves to these flowers, too. Each offer includes one dormant bare root plant grown in a 4 inch pot. Space plants 5 to 6 feet apart. Reaches up to 7 feet tall. Hardy in USDA zones 3 to 8. For best results place the plant with the crown at the soil line in well drained soil, in a hole that is twice as wide a the plant’s root sytem with loose soil 6 inches below the roots of the plant.
