Grow your own fresh fruit! June Bearing Strawberry All Star from Van Zyverden is sure to please! Strawberries are delicious fresh and excellent for use in jams and jellies. Plant strawberry roots in the spring after the danger of frost has passed. Before planting, remove the rubberband and rinse the roots. Gently separate roots before planting. To plant: Find a full sun location that receive 6 hours of direct sun per day. Dig a hole 2-3 inch deep. Plant strawberry roots in a sunny location. Space the strawberry roots 12-24 inch apart in fertile, well draining soil. Plant with the crown at soil level. Garden planting: Plant 12-24 inch apart with rows spaced 12-24 inch apart.
