Description
Caladium Blaze dormant bulbs from Van Zyverden will be the easiest plant to grow in your summer shade garden! Plant caladium bulbs after the danger of frost are over; in the deep South, February and March, and later in the North. Plant in a partial shade to full shade location that receives less than 4 hours of indirect sun per day and where sheltered from the wind. Soil preparation: The ideal soil is porous and drains well and yet still holds enough water for the roots. If your soil is heavy clay and drains slowly, or very sandy and does not hold water, add organic soil amendments like peat moss or ground bark.
