The combination seed, fertilizer, and soil improver can be used for growing a new lawn or overseeding an existing lawn in 3 steps: 1 prep the area 2 apply the seed, and 3 rake the seed into the soil. For best results, plant seed in the spring or fall when daily average soil temperatures are consistently between 55F and 70F, or air temperatures between 60F and 80F. Water daily or as needed to keep the soil moist for at least 3 weeks or until seedlings reach 2 inches in height.
