Description
The importance of being geographically savvy cannot be overstated in modern times, as globalization makes our world smaller. The Replogle Franklin Globe is a perfect way to brush up on geography, and to discover enthralling new destinations on our diverse planet. The globe is 12 inches diameter and is propped up to 16 inches by the brass colored metal base and semi-meridian. Latitudinal markings on the meridian add additional geographic detail to the Franklin. The world globe features an antique-ocean political map. The beige colored oceans have a parchment style that is accented by compass roses and cartouches. The raised relief globe means that the planet’s topography is represented three dimensionally on the surface of the model. Earth’s vast mountain ranges can be felt along the otherwise smooth exterior of the sphere. When it comes to functionality and accuracy, it is hard to beat the Replogle Franklin Desktop Globe. It’s simple and steadfast design make it a force to be reckoned with. The Franklin is a stand out globe from a storied American globe manufacturer.
