Growing 10-20 ft. tall, the Red Buckeye can be grown as a small, deciduous tree or as a shrub. It produces seed capsules, with shiny seeds, or buckeyes, that ripen in the fall. This native tree resists many diseases and pests, and it tolerates clay soils. It can be grown in full sun to shade. Zones 4-9.
