The 3-stage process begins with a Sapphirite coarse-grinding wheel to create the proper sharpening angle. Stage 2 sharpens with a Sapphirite medium-grinding wheel to give the blade a precision edge. Stage 3 completes the process with an extra-fine-grit ceramic wheel that fine hones the blade to a razor-sharp edge. Precision guides hold the knife at the perfect angle for no-guess sharpening.
