This genuine part is supplied directly from original equipment manufacturer for use with MTD and Yard Machines walk behind lawn mowers. The drive control cable is the cable that stops the blade when the control handle is released. If the cable is broken it will cause the brake to not release even when the lever is pressed. Please make sure to refer to the owners manual and the appropriate diagrams of your model for the correct location and application of this component.
