OVERVIEW
The Kelly Safari A/T is an all terrain, all weather tire made for light trucks and SUVs. Kelly offers a 55,000 mile treadwear warranty with this model.
The symmetric, directional tread design and the flat footprint maintain surface contact while the tires are in motion. The tires footprint and strong structure increase surface contact at all times, boosting steering responsiveness and driving stability. In other words, the tire increases the steering response time and accuracy to the drivers commands, while the structure is secured against driving pressure. The shoulder block pattern helps enhance the cornering power by providing extra biting edges.
The tire provides true year-round traction. The detailed tread design and the all weather compound tire compound increase the tires grip on the road surface in dry, wet, and winter weather. The detailed tread pattern increases the number of biting edges, gripping the road firmly. The all weather compound improves rubber flexibility in various conditions. The treads circumferential grooves actively prevent hydroplaning. They disperse water and slush from below the tires footprint, which enhances wet and winter traction. This combination guarantees a secure year-round performance.
The reinforced internal structure and the durable rubber compound upgrade the models load durability and damage resistance. The durable compound and the strengthened structure work together to improve the models durability. The strong compound elements prevent tread damage, avoiding the treads chipping, cracking, and tearing. The reinforced structure also allows the tire to resist structural damage. The construction protects the casing from off-road damage, such as punctures, cuts, and impacted damage, ensuring the tires optimal service life.
The Kelly Safari A/T enhances the versatile terrain traction. The optimized tread elements generate additional biting edges that enable the tires consistent forward motion on different terrain surfaces. This allows the tire to conquer soft, loose, and uneven terrains with ease. Additionally, the self-cleaning tread elements eliminate mud, snow, and rocks stuck in the footprint. As a result, the stone retention is avoided, while mud and snow cannot block the tires surface contact. This combination promotes a safe on- and off-road drive.
All weather tires receive the three mountain peak and snowflake (3PMS) symbol for their exceptional winter weather performance. They are all season tires with extra winter weather grip, in order to guarantee safer year-round durability. This ensures their true and secure driving ability throughout the year.
Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
