This excellent variety released by the New York State Agriculture Experimental Station ripens early mid-season. Honeoye Strawberry plants are vigorous and very productive, bearing over a longer period than most varieties. Flesh is firm. Winter hardy, a consistent producer. Used extensively for ”Pick your own” or home garden.
- Fragaria ananassa ‘Honeoye’.
- Reaches standard mature height of 8 to 10 in.
- Space plants approximately 12 to 24 in. apart for best results.
- Includes 25 No. 1, 1 year plants.
- Produces fruit in late May or June.
- Grows and produces best in full sun.
- For best results, grow in moist, well-drained, slightly acidic, sandy loam soil.
