Description
7/8 in Plastic Cap Nails (2,000 Count)
These 7/8 in plastic round cap nails are designed for fastening housewrap, underlayment, rigid insulation, and felt with reduced tear-out. The wide plastic cap increases holding power, while the ring-shank electrogalvanized steel nail helps resist pull-through and provides light corrosion resistance.
Key Features:
- Wide Plastic Cap: Round plastic cap helps prevent tearing and pull-through on housewrap, felt, and insulation.
- Ring-Shank Holding Power: Aggressive/annular ring shank grips wood substrates for a more secure attachment.
- Electrogalvanized Steel: Light corrosion resistance for typical above-grade applications.
- Jobsite Versatility: Commonly used for mechanically attached housewraps, underlayment, rigid insulation, and felt.
- Bulk Box Quantity: 2,000-count box supports larger projects and fewer reloads.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):
Q: What are these plastic cap nails commonly used for?
A: They’re used to secure mechanically attached housewrap, roofing felt/underlayment, rigid insulation, and similar sheet goods where a wide cap helps prevent pull-through.
Q: Do these nails have good holding power in wood?
A: Yes—these use an annular/ring shank designed to grip wood substrates more aggressively than a smooth shank.
Q: Are these nails corrosion resistant?
A: They are electrogalvanized for light corrosion resistance; electrogalvanized coatings are thin and may corrode over time in harsh environments.
Q: What size cap do they have?
A: The cap is listed as a full 1 in diameter, low-profile plastic cap.
