Description
Continental ProContact RX Tires
The Continental ProContact RX is a touring. all season tire made for passenger vehicles.
The all season silica compound and the ideal tread pattern upgrade the all weather traction. The compound elements and the optimal tread design increase the dry. wet. and winter traction. guaranteeing a safer performing capability. The tread’s elements upgrade the number of biting edges gripping the road surface. while the compound optimizes its rubber flexibility in versatile temperatures. The tread’s circumferential grooves prevent hydroplaning by dispersing water and slush from below the footprint. further enhancing the driving safety levels all year round.
The special silica-based tire compound and the optimized tread design increase the traction and keep the tire cool during its performance. As the tire prevents heat build-up along the tread area. it allows the tire to upgrade its fuel efficiency. This combination greatly lowers the rolling resistance while the tires are in motion. which significantly reduces the vehicle’s fuel intake and CO2 emission levels. In this manner. the tire manages to ensure a fuel-conscious and environmentally friendly driving experience.
The strengthened tread pattern upgrades the controllability as well. The tread design maintains the road contact at all times. which boosts the overall steering responsiveness and driving stability. In this manner. the tire manages to lengthen the usability and the tread life. On the other hand. the model’s optimized block placement increases the braking power. The additional biting edges provided by the tread design enable the tire to improve the braking ability by significantly shortening the braking distance. As a result. the tire enhances the driver’s control over the vehicle.
The Continental ProContact RX boosts the comfort levels while the tires are in motion. The ContiSilent technology and the strengthened internal structure help to lower the road noise and vibrations during the drive. The ContiSilent technology placed a sound-absorbing foam on the tire’s inner lining. This filters the soundwaves through the foam. negating them in the process. As a result. the road and tread pattern noise are not heard by the passengers. On the other hand. the stronger construction maintains the ideal tire shape under the pressure. enabling the tire to closely follow the road surface. This minimizes the road vibrations felt while the tires are in motion. as the tire absorbs the shock of driving. In this manner. the tire promotes a quiet and comfortable driving experience.
