AsparaBest Asparagus won the 2015 Green Thumb Award from the Direct Gardening Association��this variety is known for more spears, excellent flavor and cold-hardiness. The bareroot crowns and plants are one year old plants. Limit harvest the second year. It will take 3 years for the plants to be strong enough to be fully harvestable. Cut the ferns down to ground level in the Fall once they have turned brown, or in the early Spring before new growth appears.
