WHY VIRGIN WOOL? – Since it’s never been used before, virgin wool is stronger and more durable than reclaimed wool. Forget scratchiness! Strands of virgin wool are longer, which means a softer, even more durable blanket. Other wool blankets (including ours) use reclaimed wool – wool that was once used as an article of clothing but then re-purposed into a sustainable, economical wool blanket. Recycled wool is a great choice but virgin wool is top-of-the-line. GREAT LOOKING, LONG LASTING – Loom-woven and hemmed on all sides with matching lock stitching, our blanket looks right at home in your bedroom or on your couch, while standing up to everyday use and abuse. HEAVY AND WARM – This virgin wool blanket weighs 5 lbs, with a density of 550 GSM (that means nice and thick). This blanket will keep you warm, period.
