Blue Rug is wonderfully unique dwarf evergreen that perfectly blends its rare shade of turquoise-colored foliage with a compactly spreading form that makes it a perfect fit for almost any landscape. Blue Rug perfectly accentuates other purple and green plants throughout spring and summer, then shines even brighter in the fall when its blue color clashes beautifully against red, orange and yellow autumn foliage. Its turquoise-blue shade then deepens in winter with the dwindling sunlight, allowing Blue Rug to attain its richest hues of the year during this season. This shrub grows unusually quickly for an evergreen to fill available space, but will naturally stop its limbs when it meets a barrier so as not to overpower neighboring shrubs and flowers. Blue Rug stays quite low at a height of only 6 in. but spreads widely with a mature width of 6 ft. to 8 ft.
