Plant strawberry roots in the spring after the danger of frost has passed. Before planting, remove the rubberband and rinse the roots. Gently separate roots before planting. To plant: Find a full sun location that receive 6 hours of direct sun per day. Dig a hole 2-3 inch deep. Plant strawberry roots in a sunny location. Space the strawberry roots 12-24 inch apart in fertile, well draining soil. Plant with the crown at soil level. Garden planting: Plant 12-24 inch apart with rows spaced 12-24 inch apart.
