Blue Rug Juniper is a trailing type juniper with a uniform growth habit. It is superb when used as a large-scale groundcover or cascading over walls. Blue Rug produces attractive evergreen silver-blue foliage that spreads up to 8 feet wide. When planting this Juniper, dig the hole twice as wide as the pot and mix rich garden soil in with your native soil, then leave the top of the root ball 1/2 inch above the ground level when filling the hole with soil. Use a slow-release granular fertilizer in spring.
