Description
The Snowball Viburnum is 1 of the most popular ornamental shrubs in human history and goes by many names. There are very few other flowering shrubs which have remained as widely cultivated and beloved throughout the centuries and for good reasons. Firstly, the Snowball shrub puts on a floral display like no other with its perfectly rounded clusters of snow-white blossoms, appear as the same size and shape as a perfectly crafted snowball. Each floral snowball contains well over 100 blossoming florets that piece together to create the brilliant and symmetrical form for which the shrub was named. The Snowball shrub boasts exceptional hardiness, pest-resistance and drought-tolerance. Passed up by deer and insect pests alike, you’re also planting a sense of security along with your Snowball Viburnum. It would be a difficult task indeed to find another ornamental shrub possessing the same combination of beauty and resilience as the Snowball Viburnum. This shrub usually reaches a mature height between 8 ft. and 10 ft. and a mature spread between 5 ft. and 6 ft. Due to its larger size for an ornamental shrub, the Snowball Viburnum is an excellent choice for planting mixed-height shrub border, tall privacy screens and for filling open landscapes with its unique, pure-white, snowball-shaped globes of flowers.
