Description
Enjoy Year-Round Beauty The Kousa White Dogwood Tree is an attractive, white flowering dwarf tree! Gorgeous long-lasting white flowers cover the branches in late spring and early summer, followed by autumn fruits and leaf color, interesting winter bark, and bright green spring foliage. This is a real ‘stop the car and find out what that is’ kind of tree. Plant a great alternative to other flowering dogwoods, with a longer (6 weeks) and later bloom time (June and July), virtually no disease or pest problems and an alkaline (pH above 7) soil tolerance. This tree has a vase-shaped growth habit when young, growing more horizontal with age. The white blossoms look like snow on the branches. Use this tree in smaller garden spaces, close to the house, in a perennial bed, or as a stand-alone specimen. Attract birds with pink, raspberry-like fruits. Admire the ornamental trunk that develops with age. Trim off lower branches to display the attractive trunk and to let in more sunshine. It is just an all-around pretty, easy to grow and carefree tree! | 6-7 ft.
