The steel content makes them unsuitable for microwave use. Enamelware is also dishwasher and freezer safe, and food safe. Wait for enamelware to cool before placing in cold temperatures, and do not soak in water. 4 quart Dutch Oven measures 3.5″ deep x 9″ wide on the interior, 6.5″ tall with the lid.
