His three grandchildren, the Bishop brothers, founded Pendleton Woolen Mills in the early 20th century. These brothers were able to combine their weaving skills with the patterns and designs of the Native Americans. The Pendleton Trade Blanket was born. Even today, you can feel the passion for quality in every product or see it in the filigree patterns of the blankets, inspired by the designs and legends of the Native Americans.
