Pon is suitable for all plants (including orchids and citrus plants). Pon consists of high-quality, mineral rocks that are free of impurities and pollutants. It has an optimal air-water ratio for plants (45% water – 55% air). This reduces the susceptibility to diseases. Even after years, the structurally stable plant substrate does not compact and retains its air-permeable structure. Pon does not need to be replaced even after years! Multiple sieving during production reduces fine particles in the rock to a minimum. This prevents silting in the root area and maintains permanent capillarity. The zeolite contained permanently stabilises the optimum pH value in your Lechuza planter for healthy plant growth. Macro and micro nutrients remain permanently freely available. Pon has a continuous capillarity up to the surface of the container. Underplantings and plants with small roots are thus optimally supplied with water. The Lechuza plant substrate ensures an even distribution of nutrients in the root area of your planter. The good supply results in an evenly compact root distribution and a robust plant that you will enjoy for a long time. Lechuza-Pon behaves like a buffer that absorbs excess fertiliser and releases it back to the plant when needed. The natural nutrient store prevents the roots from burning due to overfertilisation. Lechuza-Pon has an adapted bulk density. Your plant will find a firm hold in the planter, which is especially important for larger plants.
